Original Light Zen Temple

The Original Light Zen Temple  is rooted in the Korean Zen tradition, and offers a traditional yet distinctly Western Zen training to people of all ages and religious background. We practice, follow and teach the spiritual linage of the late Zen Master Seung Sahn.

With a resident community of monks and lay people, Won Kwang Sa Temple offers a wide variety of programs and retreats. The temple hosts various teaching events, short and long retreats, Dharma Talks, workshops and ceremonies. You can find on our FB profile and Youtube channel the current schedule, some recorded teachings, as well as picture galleries. You are also welcome to come and stay with us between scheduled events.

Our temple offers the Dharma to all beings on a donation basis. For retreats, we charge a basic fee for the material cost of your sojourn. Besides, any support that you may be able to extend towards the developement of our temple will be highly appreciated.
